Carl Warner usually works in food. This . . . is not food.
He has managed to create believable landscapes using many very fit body parts, and they’re both hypnotic and really, really entertaining. It’s fun to imagine how awkward the models’ experience must have been. Maybe they were Photoshopped together, but I don’t think so. I like to believe there were a whole lot of giggles and excuse-me-pardon-me’s involved in the making of these photos. Just looking at them makes me want to apologize.
I also feel the need to analyze them. “What the hell is that? Knee? Elbow? SOMETHING ELSE???” Okay, it turned out to be a shoulder blade. Surprisingly, this was not a disappointing revelation. Bodyscapes is beautiful and buckets of fun!

And the foodscapes are really quite cool, too.

I love this. Bodies are so commodified in our culture that anything that offers a different lens is a relief.
