Happy Tase-Day!

Portrait photographer Patrick Hall has been called a sadist, a madman, and an irresponsible maniac.But that doesn’t mean his photos aren’t fantastic. I’ll let him tell you;

“This idea for a photo series showing people the second they are hit with a taser or stun gun has been something I have wanted to photograph for almost a year now.  Despite all the barriers it presented . . . I decided to finally stop talking about this idea and actually execute it.  The results were pretty hilarious.”

He isn’t wrong. The videos and photos are completely fascinating. I’m honestly unable to decide whether the video of his subjects’ reactions to the stun gun is my favorite, or whether I love the photos best, or whether the hilarious recorded reactions by those shocking the subjects is the bit I enjoy the most. It’s all fantastic and weirdly entertaining, and I recommend you watch the videos in the order they are posted below.

  2. Damn it. I have waited all day to watch these in the peace and quiet of an airport (work travel so no companion to distract me from my OBT fix. Bloody Apple products won’t let me view those videos. Argh!!

  3. Eep! You are a sick woman. But not nearly as twisted as Mr. Hall. Humans: such strange animals.

  4. Ok, now I’m thinking of a video I saw recently (on tv?) where the perp pleads with the officer and you hear him saying “Don’t TAZE me BRAH! Don’t TAZE ME!” I can’t remember for the life of me where I saw that…

    LOL – there are some sadistic/masochistic people out there…
