Restoration Hardware consistently has the most delicious, the most desirable, the most needful things, and each marvelous item comes complete with a shocking price tag. On the rare occasions when I go in the store (as opposed to fogging up their windows), I wander about, mouth agape, gawking at every single gadget and gizmo like I’ve just arrived in town with the manure money. (No offense to those of you with manure-related income. I hear it’s the big thing these days.)

But I digress. These gorgeous pieces are all part of wonderfully-talented Danish designer Søren Rose’s line of outdoor furniture for Those Brilliant, Overpriced Bastards. Just to illustrate my point, I’ve included not just links to these glorious items, but also their bat-shit crazy prices.

2020 EPILOGUE: This post went up six years ago, but it gets multiple hits every day. I don’t pretend to understand why, but I’m nonetheless grateful for the traffic. 2023 EPILOGUE TO THE EPILOGUE: Yep, three years after my first epilogue, I’m still getting hits every day. I have been knocking myself out to post on the daily for nine years, but this remains my most popular post. Should I be thrilled? Should I be bummed?
