The two remarkable young men behind LovePop met in naval architecture and engineering school. Reunited in grad school in Vietnam, they somehow came up with the idea to start, of all things, a line of pop-up greeting cards, and their results are absolute genius. These are the most beautiful cards I’ve ever seen, and while their intricate, complex construction could only come from the minds of engineers, the design is pure art.
I hope my people like them, because they’re going to be getting them for every occasion!

These are display-worthy! Can you imagine the teeny tiny scissors they must use!! Gorgeous.

I think they are replicated with lasers, but certainly the originals were hand-cut!

Really? Maybe I’ll have to start taking pictures of them and posting on my blog. I tried selling some years ago on Etsy but nobody bought them. 😕

Etsy’s tough. There’s a lot of competition. But I know of a lot of sellers who promote their Etsy merch on WordPress . . .

Pop Up books were my favorite as a kid and still are. These pop up works of art are amazing!

They really are incredible. Maybe a pop-up book should be next for them!

Those are all amazing! I love the intricacy of them. I would be so delighted to receive such a work of art in the mail and I would have to keep it forever. I had so many favorites among those you showcased but I think it’s a tie between the cherry blossom and tea pot.

I loved the cherry blossom and the carousel the best, thought the willow was pretty amazing, too.
