This is the Nashville folk/bluegrass quartet known as The Vespers. Comprised of brothers Taylor and Bruno Jones, and sisters, Callie and Phoebe Cryar, the group first met around a friend’s campfire. They formed the group in 2009, recorded their first album in 2011, and have been building a small but loyal following ever since.
“We’re not a Christian band, but we’re a band of Christians.” -Callie Cryar
Their music tends to feel very personal, and a little retro. The first song below is the one that initially drew me to them, though I’ve really enjoyed working my way through their videos. Enjoy!
There’s a mini-documentary about them if you’d like to know more.

I don’t know how I missed this post but I’m glad I chanced upon it again. I really love their voices and vibe. This is the type of music I enjoy listening to, sort of contemporary folk with bluegrass instrumentation. I hadn’t heard of this group but I’m going to check out more of their stuff now (I could only listen to the first video right now). Thanks for the referral.
