These are the exceptionally clever, minimalist movie posters by Etsy seller Minimal Movie Prints. Hailing from Newcastle upon Tyne, England (is it just me, or does this sound like the most English place in the world?), this illustrator has a real knack for picking out an iconic detail that isn’t THE iconic detail. The posters references can be a little obscure, so they make you think a bit, but once you’ve got it, you can’t imagine the poster any other way.
They’re as easy on the wallet as they are on the eyes. They make me want to dedicate one entire wall of my house to just these prints. Enjoy!
This idea is really cool. Considering Boogie NIghts….I guess that makes Heather Graham the real star–and that’s okay with this boy. If they had called it Roller Girl and …I digress.
The Breakfast Club is one of my favourite movies. I like what they are going with here….but I think a print of their lunches might have worked better, or locker shots. Maybe I just don’t associate colours with personality well enough.
Their lunches is a great idea! Their description in their Etsy store says they’re always looking for new ideas. You should suggest it. Maybe you’d get a free print of the image you came up with!

I love these! I don’t watch a lot of movies but I love the ones that I have seen. Love the Good fellas!

These are great! Big ideas boiled down into pithy visuals. My favourites are Silence of the Lambs and Donnie Darko.

I think Jurassic Park was my fave, but I truly loved them all.

That scene always felt like the most profound to me. It’s easy to convey size in movies, but mass is hard.

They really are. And for the couple of movies I haven’t seen, the posters make me want to know more.
