The Twitter feed @50NerdsofGrey boasts “erotic tales to turn you off and turn you on again.” Though Richard Ayoade, Moss from the U.K. TV series “The IT Crowd,” is the face of the account, I don’t think he is the feed’s author. There are nonetheless plenty of very satisfying IT Crowd references.

@50NerdsofGrey re-imagines exchanges between Ana Steele and Christian Grey if he were instead a D&D-loving, Lego-playing, IT-support-phone-answering nerd, with hilarious PG-rated results. Enjoy!

And here’s my absolute favorite!

  1. I loved the IT Crowd. Giggle. Ah…memories.

      • You saw the UK version of the office right? So painful to watch. Just moronic to a painful extreme. Crud, even Dr. Martin was painful. Them folks across the pond know how to make comedy that makes me laugh till I cry!

      • Oh, no, was there a US version? Ugh. We ruin everything. Yes, I watched the UK version, and it was soooo brilliant!

      • Lol. We do…but the American version was just as painful. I think we did a pretty good job following them on this one. You must check it out at some point. You know the times where you want to laugh but you can’t…your face just stares with your mouth open on a weird way and you are almost embarrassed for the person you are watching and yet you can’t laugh or speak…to me, that describes the office.

  2. Hilarious! The 404-play one really is the best, or maybe the sadomathichist, or eye contact or …… ( :

  3. Ha ha! Very clever. I like that the economy of a Tweet generates such pithy humour and it works really well for these that pivot into bathos in the middle. I need to tell my husband the “rebooty call” one since I am always contacting him for help with technology when he is out of state.
