Little Luxuries

The picture above to the contrary, Phillip Nuveen is not a giant. He does, however, manage to live and work surrounded by luxury brands most of us can only dream of. They’re just really, really tiny. He builds stunning townhouses and penthouse apartments, then furnishes them with faithfully-recreated iconic brands like Hermés, Gucci, and Jimmy Choo, and instantly-recognizable high-end home furnishings like Eames chairs, Philippe Starck lamps, and the like. His gorgeous doll houses – decorated with high-end, small-scale style – are way too good for dolls.

Finally a Birkin bag I can afford!!!

You can follow the amazing Phillip Nuveen on his website and on Instagram, and you can buy his remarkable miniatures on Etsy.

  1. Amazing! Whenever I look at miniatures, I’m always impressed by the dexterity involved in their creation and that must be amplified when the recreation of someone else’s design requires precision and attention to detail to the degree evidenced here. It must feel like playing with a really luxury doll house.

  3. My Barbie would swoon 🙂 She did pretty well with Ultima II boxes as her couches (Catch as catch can, that was HER dream house and those boxes were sparklky silver magic.)

  4. Any concern that this artist might run afoul of copyright infringement? I noticed the Koons balloon dog sculpture and recalled having read that Mr. Koons is not shy about suing over this kind of thing. It is a thorny subject, but I wonder about it when I see this kind of work.
