@ivenoven

Self-taught Jakarta-based cake artist Ivenoven crafts pastries that fulfill my need for spring inspiration and satisfy my need for cake (we’re starting a diet this week, so this is all food porn for me). The talented product photographer is her husband, @motomakan. Ivenoven and her husband have built up their baking business over the last three years. They now employ a staff of 12 pastry chefs from all over the world. The diverse crew studied in Melbourne, Sydney, Seattle, Osaka, Kuala Lumpur, and their native Indonesia.

Although her cakes are now made by a small army of bakers, Ivenoven nonetheless supervises the design and crafting of each buttercream masterpiece. Beautiful!

  2. Maybe perfect for dieting: I’d feel so bad about messing up the works of art.

  5. The cake decorations are charming and remind me of my Great-Gran’s mismatched cups and saucers. I watched the video and marvelled at the speed at which she made those flowers. I could spend ages trying to squirt fondant into those forms and they would still look like dog turds rather than flowers.

  10. Rather than eat these, I’d rather wear them in my hair or on my lapel. (well maybe I’d eat some first from the bottom up) ~~dru~~

  13. Very Impressive and beautiful….however I have to disagree with loisajay about the cutting… I mean after all isn’t that what cakes are for “Cutting and Eating”? however on another note if you don’t cut you don’t have to share…Ha Ha Ha Just give me a fork please.
