The Unexpected Canvas

Unfortunately, my laptop went the way of the dinosaurs, so I wasn’t able to make this post what I wanted. Hope you enjoy the artist, even without my blather and Instagram embeds!

These are the micro masterpieces by world-reknowned micro painter Hasan Kale. (He’s not micro. It’s just his paintings. And this post.)

  2. Amazing. Who would have thought of painting on an almond sliver? It could become as huge as the painting on a grain of rice is!

    • I remember seeing an exhibition of rice grain and other minuscule paintings as a child on vacation somewhere on Cape Cod. I had no problem seeing the details back then. I can no longer imagine being able to see such tiny things, but I am glad someone still can.

  3. I am always in awe of people who can create on such a tiny scale. I especially like the pieces painted on beetles.
