No matter who you are, the endless barrage of bad news has likely been getting you down. Well, I’m pleased to report that Late Night host Seth Meyers has devised a (temporary) cure for news fatigue. It’s a segment he calls The Kind of Stories We Need Right Now, and it focuses on positive stories to make us all feel better.
It’s a simple premise – good people doing good or fun or awesome things. These fun stories are working for me, and I hope they work for you, too!
You can follow Late Night With Seth Meyers on YouTube.

We count on Seth for his humor, whip-smart observations, and general nice-guy-ness – kind of like I count on My OBT. Thanks!

This reminds me of when John Krasinski had his SGN (Some Good News? site. Ya’ done good, Seth. These stories are always welcome!

It reminded me of that, too! In some ways, the stressors of the past year have inspired some creative mood-management ideas.

I found out the hard way that a salesperson lied to me big time this morning. I also am very upset with what is going on in Washington D.C. But I am not going to abuse this sight be saying any more. I really needed the posts today. I went from storming mad to laughing so hard my sides do hurt. I have said it over and over. You don’t want to mess with us Senior Citizens. You never know what their background is and which one would enjoy kicking your ass. 🙂 Somebody help me – who is the radio person who always ended with “and that’s the rest of the story”/ I always enjoyed listening to him also. I’m sorry you’re having a challenging day, but I’m so glad today’s post was what you needed! I believe you’re talking about Paul Harvey, followed by his son, Paul Harvey, Jr. My dad loved that show!

And just to make sure your day stays improved, there’s a Paul Harvey Archive site where I think you can download old shows and listen to them! It’s paulharveyarchives.com

I haven’t laughed so hard since…last February? I’m a big fan of Seth but somehow missed these. Thanks again Donna for keeping us all sane!
