YouTube suggested the video of the 2024 Haute Couture Spring/Summer fashion show by designer Robert Wun weeks ago, and I nearly skipped it. Since I hadn’t heard of the designer and didn’t really have 13 minutes to spare, I kept going past it rather than stopping and giving it a watch. I don’t know what made me finally give in and watch, but I’m so very glad I did! This looks to me like what I imagine fashion will look like in the future. As in the distant future. It’s so elegant but also so unexpected, I cannot stop watching.

The gorgeous textures and natural androgyny of it all is really going to stick with me. I’m in love with the unexpected shapes and wild silhouettes, and those crazy hats and murder-weapon-length fingernails are a trip!

It may never be seen walking down Fifth Avenue, but as art, it’s pure genius (and it would all fit in perfectly at the Met Gala!).
