Pianist Peter Bence is a very special performer. Sure, he’s exceptionally talented, and his skill is known the world over. But skill aside, it’s really his clear and deep love for the music he plays and the way he engages the audience that I think make him truly exceptional. Interestingly, in 2012, Bence was awarded the Guinness World Record for being the fastest piano player, a record that has not yet been beaten. Her certainly does give his instruments a workout! Using a loop machine, Bence beats, knocks, plucks, and drums on his piano, and his sense of timing is absolutely perfect. He’s known for revolutionizing the way piano is played, and he’s always finding new and interesting ways to get new sounds and effects out of his pianos.
Bence’s originals are every bit as entertaining as the covers for which he’s known. I’ve listened to his song Hymn for the Dreams a number of times, and there are intervals in there that feel completely new. And his use of theWhether he’s playing an upright in a train station or with a full orchestra, Peter Bence is an absolutely marvelous performer.
You can follow Peter Bence on his website and on YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook.

Phenomenal! It isn’t just that he moves his fingers across the keys at lightning speed, he also throws his whole body into it. The energy of his performance is really compelling.
