The next edition of my Songs of Summer 2016 series is by U.K. singer/songwriter Louisa Rose Allen, A.K.A. Foxes. There’s something really special about her and about this song. It starts out a bit slowly and unremarkably, but it builds beautifully. She has a surprisingly mature voice reminiscent of Gaga, and when the background singers join in, I got chills. I can’t wait to shake a tailfeather to it in Fire Island. I think we can expect great things from Foxes.
