Anne Cubberly

Hartford, CT-based visual artist, puppet maker, and notorious dumpster diver Anne Cubberly has been creating art from repurposed materials for nearly 3 decades. Her enormous, recycled-material puppets can be seen around the globe, and she teaches her skills, both in making and in performing with puppets, throughout the US. She works with art students of all ages to express their own creative visions.

Cubberly’s larger-than-life creations appear in museums, theatrical productions, and regularly in parades. Most notably, her giant puppets appear every year at a Connecticut festival known as Night Fall.

You can see all of Anne Cubberly’s remarkable creations on her website and on Instagram.
