German illustrator Laura Hacker creates paintings of woodland creatures with so much affection, they’re nearly irresistible! She sells her darling painted creations on a range of products from prints, notepads, and calendars to ceramics, lampshades, and even children’s socks. The simplicity of her original watercolor and colored pencil pieces translates easily into almost any product, while the charm of her illustrations clearly shines through. Hacker’s work is simple, to be sure, but she has a real voice, and her characters are unmistakably hers.
You can check out all of Lara Hacker’s darling little creatures on her website and on Instagram.

These are really charming illustrations and, once more, I am drawn to the chubby pigeons. Am I becoming a pigeon person?

I’m the same EXCEPT that in 2000, I nearly died from cryptococcus (pigeon poop fungus). I now appreciate pigeon art, but I still give the actual creatures a very wide berth.
