Now, these are my kind of mashups! This is the U.K.-based Analog Society band, and they’re known for doing really interesting mashups like we’ve (okay, I’ve) never heard before. They refer to themselves as a timeless pop band, and I think that’s pretty much spot on. Most of the mashups on their YouTube channel are snippets, but apparently you can get the full versions if you make a contribution on their Patreon page. Good for them!
Their choices of songs to combine are really blowing my mind. I never would have thought to put Fleetwood Mac’s Dreams with Gotye’s Somebody That I Used to Know, but now that I’ve heard it, it seems so obvious. Coming up with a pairing like that takes a special kind of talent, and that, combined with their lovely voices, is the band’s secret sauce!
Interestingly, Analog Society doesn’t have a website, but you can still follow them on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, and you can support them on Patreon.
