Chicago-based stained glass and furniture designer Shawn Michael Lucas creates marvelous, one-of-a-kind pieces that have me a little weak in the knees. I’ve never seen anything like his lamps and table-top creations, and his furniture is just delish. In addition to looking marvelous, Lucas’s pieces are made with sustainably-sourced local and reclaimed materials, and his woodworking methods rely as heavily as possible upon hand tools and joinery. These principles make his pieces both smart and beautiful!

That lamp on his Insta is gorgeous! And the back story of the coffee table made me tear up a bit.
