To break up the more serious musical posts, I thought today, we’d explore music from a more comedic perspective. This is the classical music comedy team known as Duo Baldo, made up of violinist Brad Repp and pianist Aldo Gentileschi. The pair are both very talented classical musicians in their own right, but their concerts are more fun than most.
Duo Blado made their debut performing with Andrea Bocelli about 20 years ago, and they’ve been wowing audiences across Europe, Asia, and the Americas ever since. The press has called them the heirs apparent to Victor Borge, high praise indeed! Their complete mastery of their instruments gives them room to play with the humorous side of their performances, but make no mistake. These are very serious, highly-trained virtuosos in their own right.
You can follow Duo Baldo on their website and on YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook.

Wow, that entire concert you posted was in my backyard. I have been to weddings and funerals there at San Fernando Cathedral, never a mass or concert! I just discovered Musical Bridges (the nonprofit brings in acts that otherwise would not be seen here) so perhaps I”ll see a concert at the cathedral soon. As for Duo Baldo, they are talented and hilarious. I enjoyed the concert.
