For our final musical post of the week, we’re looking at the lovely singer/songwriter Ellie Banke. Her music has been called raw, soulful, and brave, and the goal of her songs is to turn anxiety into art and fear into freedom. She has said that courage, honesty, and the willingness to say yes are necessary to meet life-altering moments.

Banke started to catch the public’s eye when a video of her singing Ed Sheeran’s Dive at her old high school’s homecoming assembly. Sheeran commented on the video and invited her to sing it with him in person. He flew her to London for a collaboration, and their duet got more than 20 million views. She is now the opening act for a number of stops on Ed Sheeran’s 2025-26 tour. Banke has been a fan of Sheeran’s for a very long time. The second video is Banke singing a cover of Sheeran’s Photograph in high school.
