Growing up in a family of 8 siblings, Gibson sisters Alisha, Kabryn, and Kathryn (I’ll bet that was annoying growing up and no, they aren’t twins) learned at an early age that they had music in common. They formed The Gibson Girls ten years ago, and have been singing a blend of vintage and original gospel music ever since. As daughters of a pastor, it’s no surprise that most of their original music is Christian in content.
You can follow The Gibson Girls on their website and on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Spotify.

I grew up listening to music from the 1940s so I always have the nostalgia kick in when musicians cover music from that era. Their harmonies suit the vibe of that music too. Like them, I am also one of eight children but none of us can carry a tune in a bucket.

Those are some tight harmonies. Please tell them that although The Carpenters may have recorded a cover, One Fine Day was by the Chiffons (1963).
But you knew that, ya?

I did, though growing up we had very few “modern” records, and The Carpenters “Now and Then” was one of them. I played it to pieces, and that song was on there. Of course, they credited the Chiffons, but I will always think of the Carpenters when I hear it.
