After Saturday’s tear jerker, I figured we could all use a laugh.

I am a big fan of podcasts. My very first podcast obsession was “Robin Williams at Audible.com,” a weekly interview show where he’d have hilarious hour-long conversations with some of his fascinating friends in the entertainment business. I assume because of licensing issues, Audible took them down a few years ago, but I really, truly miss them. In particular, his two-part interview with John Lasseter forever changed the way I looked at animated features. It is a constant source of frustration for me that these recordings don’t seem to be available anywhere on the internet. How is that possible?

Detour time: So after mentioning RWAC, I again went on an entirely futile hunt for any of those recordings. This time, my search, while once again turning up nothing relevant, took me to an interview Rob did with my other favorite guy, Craig Ferguson. The two of them are unspeakably hysterical and are clearly really enjoying themselves. Rather than torture you with the whole interview, here is a link to the video starting at the bit that really destroyed me. 

Okay, back to podcasts. Though Robin was my first, I’ve had many favorites over the years, but one of my absolute best finds was a podcast called “Old Jews Telling Jokes.” Beloved and I used to binge-listen to them on long car trips, but we eventually concluded that was unsafe since we regularly found ourselves needing to pull over.
