For the last couple of Wednesdays, I’ve been posting bouncy, dance-friendly music, and promising to get back to something more melodic and soothing very soon. Well, here it is!
I remember watching the first couple of seasons of Grey’s Anatomy and constantly having to pause the show to search out and purchase the music featured on the show’s spectacular soundtrack. Eventually, either I became inured to their musical discoveries or they started slacking off, because I can’t remember the last time I was inspired to seek out anything they played. However, those first couple of years were chock-full of spectacular songs like I’d never heard before. This is where I found the likes of Imogen Heap and The Weepies and even early Sia.
I thought I was listening carefully, but somehow I missed this gem. This is Cinematic Orchestra with a flawless live performance of their 2007 release, “To Build a House.” And it’s just lovely.
And the next song on the album, “That Home,” sounds kind of like a continuation of the song above. That’s okay with me. Keep it coming!

I need to surround myself with all home inspirations and this fits the bill wonderfully.
