Rock Paper Scissors

In February when I came across the stunning paper dolls made by FiveAndTwentyBlackbirds, they got me wondering what other paper dolls were lurking on Etsy. My search turned up some really incredible artists. Today, I am pleased to put before you the work of Etsy seller dubrovskaya.

The dolls that first got my attention, of course, are the Karma Sutra dolls. They are sold as a single pair or a double pair (for “much more fun and positions”). Their subjects vary from traditional Hindu forms to child-friendly characters to the more adult-themed dolls. They’re all hand-painted, and quite lovely.

Those are wonderful. I like the minimal colour palette and the use of pattern. Who knew Kama Sutra paper dolls would be a thing?
