What if you spent every day looking for One Beautiful Thing?

Working directly from the nature she encounters on her frequent travels, Crimean tattoo artist Pis Saro creates body art that is true-to-life. Although they are nearly accurate enough to be scientific illustrations, the creations somehow retain their dreaminess and optimism. They look to me like hope, and that’s how they began. The series started as a way for young women to cover their cutting scars, and they continue to represent a better future, both for the artist and for the people who have the good fortune to wear her work. What a lovely way to spend your life as an artist!

What a talented artist and committed human being. Those who cut or know someone who struggles with it will find support and hope in her work. Thank you for sharing.

Oh, I so hope this helps those who need it..and those who get one of these beautiful works of art in support. What a great thing this artist does.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen more beautiful tattoos. Her talent is incredible and she’s not exactly got the easiest substrate to work on.

I generally speak to no one about this, although to anyone with eyes it is obvious–my full sleeve, Mucha girl, absinthe flowers, koi fish, waterfall and chrysanthemum– was to transform the past where two years were spent destroying myself, into art. I love that this is now a “thing” and that such beautiful work is coming out of it.

I love the concept of transformation being even more than is usually thought of by tattoos!

That first image looked so three-dimensional.

Another note….you have said that were not planning on getting a tattoo…but you’ve featured quite a few posts of rather incredible tattoos. I can’t be sure, but I think I detect the sound of waning.
