The Devon-based musical trio known as Tors has a sweet, melodic sound, and their harmonies are just perfect. Their original music is lovely and full of feeling. The band is comprised of brothers Matt and Theo Weedon and friend Jack Bowden. The Weedons come from a musical family. In fact, their grandfather Bert Weedon’s instructional guitar book, Play in a Day, has been credited by Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, and others with getting them started playing the instrument. And drummer Jack Bowden is the child of two music teachers, too!

The group was named for big cliff formations at Dartmoor National Part, and though they tried living in South London, they felt it was disruptive to their writing process. The trio moved back to Devon and converted a barn into their living/working space, and they’ve been turning out beautiful original songs ever since.
