What if you spent every day looking for One Beautiful Thing?

Sarah’s Attic

DIY furniture upcycler Sarah Peterson may have the best job ever. She finds unloved, unlovely vintage pieces, and makes them fun. She then sells them in Sarah’s Attic, her shop in Perth, alongside handmade cushions, lampshades, and some of her original art.

Peterson’s abilities haven’t gone unnoticed. She works on the BBC show Money for Nothing. And she and hubby Alfie also started and run the Tayside Upcycling & Craft Centre, intended to “champion the environmental benefits of upcycling.” The shop showcases the creations of more than 30 local upcyclers and craftspeople who work with all kinds of materials.

You can see all of Sarah Peterson’s cheerfully-upcycled pieces on her website and on Instagram and Facebook. And you can check out the Tayside Upcycling & Craft Centre (TUCC) on their website.

  1. What fun! I love all the pieces and would definitely take a lamp or two!

  3. I love some really good quality upcycling. Her place is close to where my family lives and one of my sisters loves upcycling so I am definitely going to bring this to their attention.
