Artist Brian Janz doesn’t seem to talk about himself much, but his wildly-intricate drawings speak volumes. His work seems like it’s straight out of a fantasy novel. He explores many different architectural eras, and his structures seem to have been haphazardly constructed. There are rooms jutting off at odd angles, unexpected turrets and towers springing up from unlikely places, perilously-hanging cantilevered wings and windows, and just a few too many decorative elements for good taste. But these disparate elements form remarkably-intriguing structures, and although they certainly don’t look up to code, I really wish I could explore them further in person.
