Caroline Dewison, the artist who works under the name A House of Wonders, creates wonderful kits and miniatures like I’ve never seen before. I would call her work twee with a twist. Her current series features beautiful, bucolic scenes with the addition of flying saucers. I find them so modern and darling!
“I didn’t really set out with the intention of making miniatures. They just turned out that way. It began with making little mossy patches on clay pieces, sourcing materials I found in model railway layouts, which I immediately fell in love with. Seeing how others recreated such realistic scenes was really inspiring, so I bought some scenery supplies, and the ideas just grew.”
You can follow Caroline Dewison on the A House of Wonders website and on Instagram. You can buy her kits in her My Miniature Room Box Etsy shop and her finished pieces in the A House of Wonders Etsy shop.
