German photographer Dirk Fleischmann takes gorgeous color photos that look like they were shot in black and white. Many of his gob-smacking photos also feature a single pop of color – usually red. They’re striking in their contrast and their wonderful composition and the painterly way his skies and surfaces look. It’s not clear to me how much of his photos are photography and how much is digital manipulation, but whatever his process, I definitely want to see what he sees.
“Let yourself be enchanted by my world of minimalism and visual beauty and find your own inspiration and world of thoughts… My search for silence and serenity can be found in most of my works. Dreams, beautiful moments full of melancholy and a sensual perception are important components of my life in an increasingly hectic world.”
You can follow the wildly-talented Dirk Fleischmann on the Niphisi website and on Instagram and Facebook.
Note: If you aren’t able to view the Instagram embeds below, I strongly recommend you go to his website or social media to see them for yourself. You won’t be sorry!

The photos are gorgeous. Many have the quality of illustrations and they all have very calming atmospheres.

I love his eye. Nothing’s ever too busy or too spare.
