Mexico-born director/cinematographer/photographer Santiago Arau was born with a camera in his hands. The way the artist tells it, he was fascinated with photography and cinema almost since birth. In recent years, he has been focused on documenting life in Mexico City, where he has captured sporting events, concerts, protests, and marches. In addition to his event-based work, Arau has also focused his attention on the impoverished sections of his home town, Mexico City. The photographer’s Mexico City photography has been published by national and international media.
Arau has a particular skill with drone photography, and his mastery of the technology has produced some marvelous, jaw-dropping shots.
