Snow Graffiti

Scott Wilcock/Snow Graffiti

I have profiled hundreds (if not thousands) of artists over the years, but today’s has me truly excited. This is “snow graffiti” artist Scott Wilcock, and his work is nothing short of mindblowing. The depth and shading effects he achieves clearly communicate how much expertise he has with his medium. And while fascinating and masterful, it also seems almost accessible. I may actually attempt some of this stuff thanks to his thorough tutorials on YouTube.

Wilcock describes the ethos of snow graffiti as being intended to support mental health awareness. I’m not 100% sure how the two ideas connect, but it makes sense to him.

“We know personal experience the difficulties and challenges life can bring but we want to remind people that every situation is temporary. No matter how bad it gets, it will pass. We strive to encourage the people we meet to follow their own dreams, don’t let let fear hold you back and don’t allow yourself to feel trapped in a situation.”

You can see all of Scott Wilcox’s marvelous snow graffiti on his website and on YouTube, Tiktok, Instagram, and Facebook.

Holy Moly! I cannot believe the detail and depth this artist achieves with just spray snow is incredible. I have never used spray snow but I am inspired by this post to consider having a go at it some time. It looks fun.
