First of all, as usual, I am not being compensated in any way for this post. It’s pure fangirl stuff.
I do not usually profile stores. Artists, makers, crafters, yes, but not retail stores that sell a range of merchandise from other companies. Today is an exception to that rule. The buyers at the San Diego Hardware Co. have amassed such a mind-blowing, gob-smacking collection of glorious hardware, I can’t stop thinking about it all.
The store is actually 133 years old, and it’s totally clear why they’ve succeeded for such a long time. Their selection is nothing short of glorious, and according to their reviews, the staff is every bit as wonderful as the stock. This place looks so marvelous, I am trying to find a reason to visit San Diego (even though I don’t need any hardware…). And as if all that wonderful hardware wasn’t tempting enough, their store greeter is a totally adorable and very smiley Samoyed named Coconut.
You can see all of San Diego Hardware’s toothsome wares on their website and on Instagram, and Facebook.
