Tattoo artist Steph Hanlon is a gifted illustrator and artist.  Sure, she can give you a complete knock-out of a tattoo based upon someone else’s work (check out this Edward Gorey, for example), but it’s when she starts doing her own illustrations that she really shines.

According to VisualNews.com, she is part of a growing number of tattoo artists who are abandoning classic tattoo styles in favor of work inspired by artists on canvas.  I’m sure you’ll see some others of that number featured in future OBT posts, but for now, I can’t stop looking at the works of Steph Hanlon.
