For just $10.5 million, this weird fairy tale house can be yours. The size of a city block, complete with thatched roof (not a commonplace sight in Brooklyn), impeccably manicured grounds, original 1916 stained glass, and – get this – a chauffeur’s room, this pad has enough space for all seven dwarves AND their friends.
The Daily News has called it the “most magnificent residence in all of New York City,” which may be overstating just a bit, but it is still a remarkable place.
I’m a little bummed that the interior has been updated. I really wanted it to look like hobbits lived in it. It is, however, beautifully appointed.
Just promise me that if you buy 8220 Narrows Avenue, Brooklyn, NY, you’ll invite me over to get a better look.
