Confession time. When I’m alone, I sometimes eat with a tiny demitasse spoon and a similar-sized olive fork because it makes me feel like a giant. I have always enjoyed little things. I would vacation in Lilliput if I could. If I had these beautifully-designed miniatures, I think I would have a great time playing Gulliver.
2of2 is my new favorite Etsy shop (and you know how much time I spend on Etsy). Billed as the “Home of glowing ghost houses, hand-carved tabletop forests and little geometric structures,” this shop is full of tiny adorables. It’s no surprise that the artists, siblings Dan and Mer Dundin, split their time between two of my favorite places, NYC and Lambertville, NJ. And look at how sweet their mission statement is:
“2of2 was opened in honor of our late mother, Patty, who taught us that the wonder of childhood can stay with you in life if you let your imagination pave the way. We named our shop 2of2 because we have found again and again that it’s the second draft of a design that we fall in love with!” –Dan and Mer Dundlin Profile
Care to play Gulliver’s Travels with me?
And here’s a completely unrelated video I found that reminds me of Gulliver!

Do you create miniatures yourself? I can see how fond you are of them. Just curious. By the way, you find some really cool stuff.

Thanks, Anthony. I have not thus far created a miniature of myself, though it sounds like fun. I may have to try that!

I didn’t mean, of yourself. I was just wondering if, because you were interested in it, you might also practice this art genre.
…but also, making a miniature of yourself could be fun–I think they did that on Big Bang Theory, using a 3d printer.

Re-read your comment. Whoopsie. I like the 3D printer idea, and I have a friend who owns one. . .
