One of my favorite blog activities is to read other people’s posts on a topic after I’ve posted about it. Today, I searched for ducks, and this adorable picture came up. When I went “Squee!,” beloved came to see what I was squeaking about, she also went “Squee.” Then she reminded me of our friend’s song.
The extraordinarily-talented Eric Hansen is one of my favorite people. Though he is straight, his music and his friendship really helped me get myself together during my first tender years as a new lesbian. He’s an amazing musician and a wonderful human being, and tonight, his music is exactly what’s needed. Years ago, when we were spending loads of time together, he wrote and recorded an album called “Real Slow.” I loved it so much, I bought a case of the CDs and gave them to everyone that Christmas. We still have ours and play it regularly. Today, I want you to hear his song “Leap of Faith.” An amazing song by a wonderful artist. Enjoy!

Love the connection, the song with your personal connection and the photo (which is beyond adorable).
