What if you spent every day looking for One Beautiful Thing?

As Old as the Grave

I’ve got a lot going on today, so I’m going to be brief. When I was looking for this week’s music discovery, I came across Eaves. He’s another of those excessively-young, ridiculously-talented people I keep marveling over. When I first spotted him, I wanted to get him a hairbrush and a dentist, but after listening for a bit, I mostly forgot all that.

Listening to his lovely performance of “As Old as the Grave,” I was really blown away. In particular, when they break it down at minute 3, then slowly build it back up, the song moved directly into my favorites playlist. (But I confess I still really do want him to brush his hair.)

And this one reminds me a bit of Bruce Hornsby’s beautiful piano work in the eighties.

Hair brush and a dentist, you are too funny! I love his music, and the young lady who harmonizes has a beautiful voice as well. Great stuff! Thanks so much for sharing.

I think I do much better when I just listen. I don’t need the visuals….or what do we call them now “optics?”…..ruining the enjoyment of the song. Sheesh, take a shower already.
