Sometimes, the internet coughs up something so lovely, it takes my breath away. This is one of those times.

This is Santi Serra Camps, the head of the Spanish animal performance company known as Sercam Shows. He’s as famous across Europe for his kind treatment of his animal partners (he calls them his “actors”) as he is for his artistry, creativity, and showmanship. The man seems to form an almost supernatural bond with his animals that really speaks volumes about their trust in him and the harmony of their relationship. It’s a privilege to watch such talented and committed beings at work.

I wasn’t able to find very much in English about him or his company (and Google translate wasn’t doing so hot), but I’m sure that even without my two cents, you’ll be able to enjoy these lovely performance excerpts.
