This week’s music discovery* is only partially about the music. It’s a very solid song, and I liked it right away, but as has happened before, it was the music video that caught my attention. In it, OneRepublic uses their world stage to tell one 15-year-old fan’s story about his life with cystic fibrosis.
*While I’ve just discovered it, the song and video were released in 2014.

The song, “I Lived,” is surprisingly deep for a pop song.The lyrics read like someone’s dying words, but in the very best way:
