Hands down, our favorite dining display. The New York Times by Lladró and Darrin Varden Design
Hello, lovelies!
As promised, here are a few highlights from yesterday’s adventure at the Architectural Digest Design Show and the DIFFA Dining By Design exhibit. If you’d like to see the full set of pictures, go check them out on Flickr.

I featured this artist last year, too, but I can’t help it. I love them! By Chris Ahalt, sold by Chesterfield Glass Art

We were obsessed with the china embedded in the back wall. Such a cool idea! Crate & Barrel by Spring Street Social Society

Recycled plastic furniture by Kim Markel. It was shocking how beautiful looking and warm feeling these pieces were

We were really in love with the painted, off-center stripes that went over not just the walls but also the molding. So cool! By Benjamin Moore

Stunning, water-tight acrylic vessels by LePage New York

Like most of the DIFFA dining exhibits, we agreed this would be a great dining room to visit (but we didn’t think we could live there). By Luxe Interiors + Design with LIAIGRE, designed by Sasha Bikoff

These children’s stools by Kinder Modern were my favorite things of the day

I love the red in that dining room but those waves – would not work for me. It sounds odd but there are people that can feel color and design – you know, the Sensitive ones? Anyway, I know those waves would make me nauseous because of the movement. Otherwise, pretty color in the room.

That’s interesting. I can see why that would bother you. It was a great show, but there were a few designs that would have made me nauseated as well (for different reasons).

I need a manatee on a stick and those cool glass vases. The little stools reminded me of my Highland cow foot stool that didn’t make the cut to come to America.

They were all stunning and staggeringly expensive. My mom and I used to stroll happily through some of the ridiculously high-end stores, and I would lament the high cost of everything. Mom just said, “Think of it as a museum with price tags.” We had way more fun that way.

My Gran used to say, “You can go window shopping and not open your purse” but that was a metaphor for sex. 😅

I really need to plan a trip out there for next year’s show. Love the other photos you took as well.

Thanks! It’s a spectacular day. Bestie and I have turned it into something of a ritual.
