Rafael Mantesso
This is simultaneously the saddest and most funny beginning for an art project in the history of Instagram. It needs to be a movie. Brazilian illustrator Rafael Mantesso‘s wife left him, taking all their stuff, leaving him only their empty, mostly white apartment and Jimmy, their mostly white bull terrier. The hilarious (to us, at least) results are what comes of a creative mind in turmoil, a canine good sport, and too much blank space. It doesn’t hurt that Jimmy is one of the most patient dogs ever. Don’t miss the videos at the bottom of this post.
Thanks to an Instagram share by Ashton Kutcher, fashion icon Jimmy Choo (after whom the dog was named) fell in love with the wonderful work produced by these two and featured their pictures on one of his mini-collections. And if fashion isn’t your thing, there’s also a book, A Dog Named Jimmy!

Gimme Jimmy! I bought this book a few months ago because the folks at the bookstore were starting to get suspicious of the lady laughing hilariously in the back of the store as she leafed through this book. What genius! What a riot!

Awesome as usual–but now I’ve got the Peanuts dancing music in my head–if you’re looking for me in the crowd of dancers, I am the guy who dances with his head tucked down and bobbles a little.
