Apple Inc.
I vividly recall the early Apple iPod/iTunes commercials. I loved them because every one of them introduced me to a new song that I loved. Even once we had Tivo and didn’t need to suffer commercials, I’d still stop and play their ads. That’s advertising genius. And hearing those songs still takes me back to the aughts in a really good way.
Well, they’re at it again. Last night, waiting for a James Corden Carpool Karaoke video to load, up came an Apple commercial. Three notes in, I knew I had to find the music. It is Past Lives by BØRNS, and its introduction has a distinctly Imogen Heap Hide & Seek vibe, which amps up to a wonderful pop-infused confection, what BØRNS calls sunshine vibe. I’m definitely going to have to explore his music further when I get a chance.
Thanks once again, Apple! You still got it!

Fabulous! I agree that Apple has made some awesome commercials. This is when I started paying attention: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GLy7Z8tsA3k

I loved that one! I was so excited to have new Paul McCartney to listen to, I basically made a Donna-shaped hole in the wall trying to get to my computer to buy it!

And now this auto-played, and I’m happy, happy, happy!
