Spencer Susser and Daniel Campos
You may think that your clothes have no life without you, but you’d be surprised . . .
This is SHINY, a stop-motion action film using only clothing! It was brilliantly conceived and executed by Australians Spencer Susser and Daniel Campos and produced by the very prolific Blue-Tongue Films. Not surprisingly, the film took the top prize at TROPFEST, the world’s largest short film festival.
In fact, today, you’re getting two beautiful things, because SHINY made me remember another short I’d seen years ago (7 years ago, as it turns out). This distant memory sent me on something of a wild goose chase, but 45 minutes later, I eventually stumbled over what I was looking for. This is the (clearly) memorable music video for “Her Morning Elegance” by Oren Lavie. The song is quite nice, but it’s the video that stuck with me. Enjoy!

I am both amused by and amazed by the talent out there. Both of these were wonderful, Donna.

I’m so glad you liked them! If atop-motion wasn’t so time-consuming, I think I’d be all over it. The results are so appealing!
