What if you spent every day looking for One Beautiful Thing?

Hanging Out on Boyce Avenue

Boyce Avenue

It’s hot in New York. Not Africa hot, but still, we are kind of spoiled, temperature wise, so to us, it feels like the center of the sun. Today is the 7th day in a row in the nineties, and we’re all pretty over it. I went looking for music that was easy and cool and soothing (and wouldn’t make me want to jump around and break a sweat), and I found it.

Boyce Avenue is the band comprised of Sarasota, Florida-born brothers Alejandro, Daniel, and Fabian Manzano. Today’s musical discoveries are focused mainly just the remarkable voice of lead singer Alejandro and his very effective guitar.

Boyce Avenue is best known for their beautiful covers, though they have recorded some very respectable originals, as well. There are 153 acoustic covers of popular songs in this playlist. If you’re feeling like me and need something to help you cool off, start with the first song and just let ’em play!

Before the music starts, I have a question. My numbers on Wednesdays are pretty much always terrible. Should I stop doing the music discovery Wednesdays and just fold music in with everything else? I’d be happy to hear what you thought. Thanks!

And in case you want to hear their original music, here’s a few of my faves.

  1. Answering your Wednesday question – I’m probably not a good gauge because I love every post you do, but I’d say it might make sense to change things up a bit and see if there’s any difference on Wednesdays. Could be people are just too overwhelmed mid-week to have a listen. ( :

  2. I enjoy your music posts ❤ And these guys are amazing. Maybe most of your readers are more into visual art? I really have no idea.

  3. I’ve been listening to their station on Pandora at work a lot and enjoy them immensely.
