Spring! Spring! It’s officially Spring!!!!

Singapore artist Lim Zhi Wei, aka Lovelimzy, creates ethereally lovely fashion illustrations by adding real flowers to her already-appealing watercolor paintings. I like her coy spareness of detail and her generous use of white space. Her illustrations are perfect in their mystery. But once again, I’m falling for art representing faceless women. Wonder what Freud would have to say about that…

Hardly an unknown, Wei has been doing ads for the likes of Dior and Gucci, and has had some very successful gallery showings. I’m thrilled that something so simple and fresh can still be a commercial success!

And here’s a little Sarah Vaughan to keep you company while you look at the pretty pictures!
