What if you spent every day looking for One Beautiful Thing?

Tactile Jewelry

Rachael Grigulis

I first came upon Rachael Grigulis’s work when I was polishing up my 2023 Gift Guide. I was looking for a statement necklace that would appeal to a lot of people. Her work absolutely floored me. I didn’t end up including any of her work in the gift guide because I thought she deserved her own post. The wow factor in these pieces cannot be overstated. I want it ALL.

Using a mix of sterling silver in different finishes and a wide range of agates, Grigulis’s work celebrates modern geometrics with updated Art Deco vibes. She even incorporates braille into some of her work. That’s such a brilliant idea!

“Rachael… believes that a piece of jewellery is not just a visual object that makes a statement about who we are and what we value but it should also be tactile and fun. Her work is intended to not just be worn but to be touched and felt.”

The jewellery is lovely. I appreciate the strong lines and sculptural quality to them. I thought of them as Industrial Art Deco.
