Canadian singer/songwriter Desiree Dawson is truly a force of nature. Her music crosses genre lines, and her voice is absolutely lovely and very memorable. I confess I am not usually a fan of fast vibrato, but Dawson’s voice sounds so organic and is so perfectly matched to her music, I feel like her vibrato actually adds something extra special.

Since taking the highest prize on Canada’s CBC Searchlight contest in 2016, the artist has been winning hearts (and awards) across Canada and the U.S. With two SXSW Music Video Awards under her belt, it seems like there’s no stopping this talented young woman.
