What if you spent every day looking for One Beautiful Thing?

Pete Sinjin

As you may know, I’m still stuck at home recovering from my knee replacement. My only outings are timid walks down the block, trips to PT, and the occasional doctor’s appointment. I miss my City so hard! So today, I thought we’d look at an artist that’s making me feel a little less removed from my favorite place. These are the atmospheric New York City scenes by plein air painter Pete Sinjin. He describes his work as realism with a touch of impressionism, but I would describe it as pitch perfect.

You can enjoy all Pete Sinjin’s wonderful paintings on his website and on Instagram and Facebook. You can also watch his Painting with Pete videos on YouTube.

    A little Edward Hopper-ish. I like them.

I like his style! Sorry to hear you are laid up. Seems that everyone I know is having to replace something. Hang in there and heal well!
