12/25/15: When I was a kid, American illustrator R.O. Blechman’s animated Christmas greetings used to play on CBS and a few other stations. Here are a few I can remember playing  at Christmas time. Even as a small child, I can remember being completely hypnotized by his spare lines and the way sound effects were employed to fill in the un-drawn details.

Here’s Blechman’s famous Alka Seltzer commercial. Not very Christmasy, but it’s still his most iconic work, and very clever.
